Kayaks and all related gear are provided. Bring fleece or capilene to wear for underclothing. Bring neoprene booties if you have them.

We offer quality on-the-water photos taken on the river. These are very popular and inexpensive. You get a CD with about 30-40 pictures in jpeg format, plus a fun slide show for $25. We also give a group rate of $45 and everyone would have a CD of their own. Check out the Photo Gallery to see some examples. Be sure to let us know if you would like these fun, action photos and the camera will be in the kayak!

* Moving Water

Learn the fundamentals of paddling on a safe, slow-moving section of the Klickitat River. This lesson will introduce basic paddling strokes necessary in paddling your kayak in current. Want to keep from flipping upside down? You will learn bracing techniques and skills to stay right side up. Other skills include ferrying and using eddies. We make learning safe and fun. Prerequisite: None. Cost: $75.00

* Beginner River

Spend the day running a Class I-II river applying the skills learned in the Moving Water lesson. Learn how to boat safely, "read" river features to aid in navigation, scout rapids, ferry, and control your boat with precise paddle strokes. Enjoy the adventure of cruising the beautiful Klickitat River with experienced instructors. Prerequisite: Moving Water Lesson. Cost: $100.00

* Weekender Special

Stuff a lot into one weekend. Join us for one pool session and two river lessons. Meet us Saturday morning for an Intro to Kayaking pool lesson. Attend a Moving Water lesson in the afternoon, and then complete the package on Sunday with a Beginner River lesson on a five mile stretch of the beautiful Klickitat River. We can also offer the Weekender Special on two consecutive days during the week. Cost is only $200. What a deal!

* Moving Water/River Combo

The combo class was designed for that one day river experience. We will spend the morning with a shortened Moving Water lesson followed by the Beginner River lesson in the afternoon. This course is not for everyone. You must be comfortable in the water and in reasonable good physical shape for this class. If we feel you are not up to the task after the moving water portion, we will ask that you paddle the river portion in a stable, sit-on-top kayak. Lunch will be provided. Cost: $150.00

* Intermediate River

Increase your skills by paddling a Class II-III river. Learn advanced techniques that promote safety and fun. Prerequisite: You must be able to roll in moving water. Cost: $100.00

* Guiding

Want to paddle runs on our local rivers without having to scout every rapid? Guiding is available on local rivers for those kayakers who want to paddle with an experienced and capable guide. For one-person guided trips, add $25. Cost: $75.00
