Located in the Columbia River Gorge, Hood River, 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon, Gorge Paddling offers beginning, intermediate paddlers a wide variety of comprehensive kayak instruction programs.

Our kayak school is dedicated to whitewater kayaking instruction. Learning to kayak should be a fun and rewarding experience. From the"eskimo roll" to efficient paddling technique with rock-solid boat control, we provide quality "individualized" instruction. Our student/instructor ratio is low to maximize student learning.

Our instructors are American Canoe Association (ACA) or British Canoe Union (BCU) certified. They are experienced, accomplished paddlers. Most of all, they are excellent teachers. Come take our classes so that you can learn to paddle rivers with confidence and precision.
